The Shelter responds to the emergency needs of people for shelter, food, personal hygiene, clothing, medical assistance and medications, and crisis intervention services without charging fees or imposing time limits. We also offer support services and referrals to other area agencies as necessary for food stamps, housing placement, substance abuse counseling, legal aid, health care, jog training and employement.

Sekelela Rejoice Zambia's Orphans was founded by pastor William Ilnisky who was brought to tears and could hardly stop weeping for two weeks after he read a cover story on the 10 million African children orphaned by AIDS. Ilnisky believes his unusual reaction was God's way of speaking to him, and the result was Sekelela (translated "rejoice") Africa's Orphans, a ministry that provides health care, food and the gospel to thousands of orphans in Zambia. The Good Samaritan Network, Inc. is the parent organziation of Tallahassee's Chelsea House. The Chelsea House supports 15 women in need at any given time but is always accepting applications. Chelsea House provides physical as well as emotional and spiritual support while the ladies work towards re-entry into the community. Through the Good Samaritan Network and other organizations we are able to meet the needs of these women. The ladies of Chelsea House are also given the chance to participate in several programs including the Mentoring Program and the Women of Worth (W.O.W.) Program.
